Too often, politics feels distant, performative, and disconnected from everyday life. I'm running to help restore trust between citizens and their representatives by listening, by showing up, and by treating this office as a responsibility rather than a platform.
Kentucky does not need louder voices. It needs steadier ones.

If elected, I will represent District 63 with humility, diligence, and independence. I will listen first, speak plainly, and vote with the long-term good of the Commonwealth in mind, not short-term political pressure.
Public office is not a prize. It is a trust.
Faith, Family, and Community
Strong families and local communities are the backbone of a healthy Commonwealth. Policy should respect parental authority, protect religious freedom, and strengthen, not replace, the institutions that hold society together.
Public Safety & the Rule of Law
Every Kentuckian deserves to feel safe in their neighborhood. I support law enforcement, accountability in the justice system, and firm action against all forms of illegal trafficking and violent crime, while upholding the dignity of every person.
A Strong Local Economy
Kentucky thrives when its workers, small businesses, and trades are respected. I support policies that encourage work, reward responsibility, and remove unnecessary burdens on those trying to provide for their families.
Education with Common Sense
Parents should have a voice in their children's education. Schools should focus on knowledge, discipline, and preparing our youth not only for the responsibilities of the real world but also equipping them with skills that benefit not only the child but also the greater community.
Accountable, Limited Government
Good government is not about doing everything; it is about doing the right things well. I believe in fiscal responsibility, transparency, and laws that serve the people rather than special interests.

My name is Seth Winslow Young, a Kentuckian, a neighbor, and a believer in public service rooted in responsibility and restraint. I'm running for the Kentucky House of Representatives in District 63 because I believe government works best when it is close to the people it serves and faithful to the trust it has been given.
This campaign is grounded in a simple conviction: leadership is stewardship. We inherit our communities, our institutions, and our freedoms, not as possessions to exploit, but as responsibilities to preserve and strengthen for the next generation.
I believe in faith lived out through service, in families and communities as the foundation of the Commonwealth, and in a government that respects its limits while carrying out its duties with seriousness and care.
